Where You Should Be Going This Summer

With Great British Summertime now in full swing, we are starting to get excited about the summer holidays. We've curated our favourite European destinations for you to consider this summer:

1. Hvar, Croatia

This remarkable little Croatian Island just off the coast of Split is easily accessed via ferry, speedboat or more sizeable vessel should you prefer. Hvar boasts stunning scenery, crystal clear waters and plenty of beaches or neighbouring islands for you to explore.

Hvar Town itself is simply beautiful. Enjoy a glass of wine and a meal overlooking the harbour, or wander up to the fortress for a breathtaking view of the island.

2. Amalfi Coast, Italy

If it's stunning scenery and phenomenal food that you're looking for this summer, then look no further than Italy's Amalfi Coast. The coastline is something to behold, with breathtaking views as vast cliffs meet azure blue waters. The Amalfi Coast stretches over 50km between Sorrento and Salerno and is one of Italy's most desirable and stylish summer holiday destinations.

We highly recommend visiting Positano, famous for its colourful buildings and boutique shops. You're also only a stones throw away from the Isle of Capri and Pompeii.

3. The French Riviera (Côte d'Azur)

We love the Côte d'Azur - it just oozes class. Home to Nice, Cannes, the Principality of Monaco and Saint Tropez; the French Riviera is known for its glitz and glamour, its famous residents and beautiful surroundings.

4. Algarve, Portugal

Home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and almost perpetual sunshine, there's no wonder that the Algarve made our list. With an array of beautiful towns and resorts to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice.

There are some amazing local wines produced from indigenous Portuguese grapes and many fine restaurants for you to dine in. The Algarve is also home to a plethora of stunning golf courses and is a haven for water sports and diving activities, should you be that way inclined.

5. Santorini, Greece

The volcanic Greek island of Santorini has become synonymous with stunning white washed architecture, deep blue waters and breathtaking sunsets.

Enjoy the beauties of Fira, the capital of Santorini. Get lost amongst its warren-like, cobbled streets, enjoy the restaurants, bars and shops, or simply take in the incredible views. We highly recommend sampling fresh seafood from a traditional Greek taverna. Visit the scenic village of Oia for a slightly more tranquil and romantic setting.
